Sonoma Additions

TBS is Design Consultant for Owners of an early 1900’s craftsman cottage style house in the historic district of Sonoma California. The existing house is small but largely intact with original craftsman style details and finishes. The local regulations require preservation of existing historic structures and that renovations or additions conform to the US Department of the Interior Standards with a peer reviewed design analysis. Alterations must be compatible with the historic structure in both scale and detail, but make clear distinctions between the original and any alterations. The design was approved with strong support.

Tom Bader Studio provided conceptual design hand sketches and design development drawings in Revit for the Owners while working with Salt Shed Design Build LLC as the Design Professional of Record for architectural and engineering approvals.
