Aluminum Chair

The inspiration was the sculptural form of the Eames chair, but translated to aluminum to utilize the fabrication methods of the metal machine shop. Milling, drilling, bending and screwed fasteners are employed in the construction. The outer straight vertical elements are contrasted with the more sculptural curved elements of the center spine, seat and back that support the body.

Fabricated by Tom Bader in New Haven, Ct 1990
