Turned Objects

The opportunity of access to a professional wood turning lathe led to producing several sculptural forms of varying types. In this case, candlesticks, but intended to expand to variations on a theme of abstract sculptural forms. The initial inspirations are Danish mid century teak pepper mills, chess pieces, sculptural totems, and other assorted variations within common objects. The first turnings in walnut focus on repetition, and shifting shape within a totem like form.
